Public Works Department
OVERVIEW
The City’s Public Works Department includes Public Works Operations and Solid Waste Operations.
The Department is responsible for maintaining City streets and drainage systems in compliance with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permitting requirements, maintaining City parks and recreational facilities, maintaining City buildings and supervising the provision of commercial and residential solid waste collection services.
The Public Works Director also serves as the City’s Construction Manager in the planning, design and construction of new City Facilities.
