Mayor/Commissioner Joanne “Cookie” Kennedy Holds Press Conference
Beach Renourishment
Mayor/Commissioner Kennedy will hold a press conference Friday, September 1, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Pinellas County Park located at the 17th Avenue Beach Access in Indian Rocks Beach, FL. 33785 to discuss the conditions of the Indian Rocks Beach beaches in the aftermath of Hurricane Idalia and the impact of beach renourishment.
Mayor/Commissioner Kennedy will provide a history of the beach renourishment efforts at the press conference.
The City of Indian Rocks Beach has closed 14 of the 28-beach accesses due to sand loss and erosion.
