City of Indian Rocks Beach Awarded State Funding

The City of Indian Rocks Beach has been awarded $476,250.00 from the State of Florida to assist with the purchase of an AquaFence to provide enhanced protection of IRB City Hall.

AquaFence is a leading, FEMA compliant, deployable flood barrier, used to protect properties throughout the world. Deploying the AquaFence prior to a flooding/storm surge event will provide enhanced protection of City Hall from costly and timely repairs, allowing the City to not only save money, but ensure that City Team Members can be available to assist residents with little delay.

Senator DiCeglie, along with representatives from Representative Berfield’s office will be presenting a ceremonial check to Mayor-Commissioner Denise Houseberg  and City Manager Gregg Mims at 10:00 am on Monday, July 21, 2025, in front of City Hall. The public is invited to attend.
