The Florida League of Cities has announced the launching of Local Voices United, a grassroots advocacy network. It is dedicated to supporting local self-government by recruiting and inspiring Florida’s citizens to get educated on and engaged with the issues.
“It’s the idea that our communities should be governed by the people who live in them. But to be more successful in defending and strengthening local decision making, it’s vital we get our residents more involved.”
