RED TIDE UPDATE

Ft. De Soto has medium to high concentrations today, June 29th, the rest of the beaches are low or very low. Ft. De Soto had a good amount of dead fish present this morning which is being handled by county staff. St. Petersburg also reported dead fish along their shoreline.
Yesterday, Hillsborough posted high concentrations at the mouth of the Alafia and at Apollo Beach. FWC was out doing extensive monitoring in Tampa Bay yesterday and reported visible blooms at many locations. That data has not been posted to their map yet.
Satellite imagery is showing patchy areas off the Pinellas County coast and a larger patch up near Anclote Key.
